The Food 4 Health and Safety Challenge is a course built on the principles of challenge-based learning. This 20 week 7,5 ECT challenge starts in February 2021 and is open to all third-year students from WUR, TU/e, UU and UMCU!
You will join the challenge in an interdisciplinary team of 4-6 students which will be a mix of curious and motivated people complementary in experience, team role and academic background. This requires you to collaborate and you can learn with and from each other. Throughout the challenge you will receive coaching on the project, as well as on your personal development. No worries if you don’t know anybody from WUR, TU/e, UU or UMCU yet! Teams will be formed by the organizing staff based on motivational letters and the background of the students.
The 20-week challenge consist of inspiring masterclasses, exciting team-building activities, and individual coaching. Team deliverables include a concept, a pitch, and a report on your teams’ solution to the real-life problem of the Dutch Ministry of Defence, based on Design Thinking. A personal development plan and a portfolio including CV are part of your individual assignment. Study points will be granted upon completion.
To help you get the most out of this challenge there will be 4 plenary events and you will be provided with an online learning environment. Here you and your team members can meet, share documents, ask questions to your tutor, coach, and to experts all time- and place independent.
